About me

My name is Rodney Smith and I have over 20 years of law enforcement experience and am a body language expert and analyst. I entered the law enforcement field in 2002 which has allowed me to possess several years of criminal and regulatory investigative experience as a patrol officer and investigator. I hold multiple certificates and have extensive training in body language, interview and interrogation, elicitation, and am also a polygraph examiner.

As a continual seeker of knowledge, I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Pembroke State University and a Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from NC Wesleyan College. Because of my drive to understand others and discover the truth through communication, I have completed several training schools involving body language, statement analysis, face reading, and micro expressions. I am also a Criminal Justice Adjunct Instructor.

Throughout my life, I have always been passionate about helping others and changing their lives. After years of working in the law enforcement profession, I contemplated what I would do to continue serving others as I came closer to retiring. As I near completion of my career, I have decided to pursue a career in motivational speaking and coaching others, and have not looked back. With a focus on mindfulness and self-discovery, I look forward to helping clients tap into their true potential and live their best lives.

Because of my extensive training, education, and practice of nonverbal communication, I have experienced the opportunity be recognized as an expert and consultant to law enforcement, entrepreneurs, associations, college students, and others interested in learning about effective communication, body language, and micro expressions.
